Senin, 10 November 2008

.torrent file principle is a "container" that contains textual information that is needed to download a file. The information contained in a file. Torrent of other large file size, file names, addresses, track URLs, comments, and others.
Some terms in the torrent :

Seed / Seeder
Is a person who has a full copy of a torrent file. Category seeder is the people who make the initial torrent, or those who have finished downloading a file and automatically upload it. Logically, the more the number of seeders, but presentation success download a file larger.

Leecher
Is that people just download a torrent file and it does not have the same part or in whole from a file. "Peer" also comes into the category Leecher as the user is not yet have a part or the whole file .. The term "peer" can also be interpreted as "user" or "client".

A hit-and-runner
It has been a leecher successfully download all the files from a torrent file, but not to seed the file until they reach the 1.0 ratio. Of course this is a behavior that is not fun. 'A hit-and-runner' is often called, or with the same Leechers, which are categorized as a parasite. Although the terms are used together with someone who will just download a file, but for this term, more berkonotasi negative, and is the behavior of the poor.

Swarm
In simple can be referred to as the "ecosystem", the overall peers or users who are connected to download a file.

Ratio
Comparison between the number of upload and download called: ratio. Torrent is a protocol sharing, so of course, share a must. The system's ratio is used to monitor the number of shipments and revenues will be.

How much better ratio?
1.0 or more. This means that we have uploaded more than we download. Attitudes such as this is very important for the community to share this. Although we are often very heavy and reluctant to make a seed of the files that have been downloaded, but earned it done.

Why slow process of downloading torrent?
There are several factors why the process of downloading via torrent is very slow.
1. Check your Internet bandwidth.
Of course, if your Internet bandwidth small, the download process to be slow.
2. Peers / seeds are not sufficient.
Seeds clear that many will accelerate the process of downloading, but the number of leechers factors will also affect download speed. Maybe we have selected the file has been successfully downloaded, but if there are many Leechers, the download speed will be divided for each to the Leechers.
3. Check the firewall.
If the firewall on your computer is on, then it will limit the number of peers who can connect with your computer. Although you can connect to the outside, but you will not be able to connect to the outside. Set the port from the torrent Downloader you, and you will get a smooth connection.
4. You are not enough to upload.
Remember, BitTorrent is a protocol to share. If you keep your head hard to share (upload), then other users will not want to share with you. Some clients will even tell you that the ratio of downloads that you do have a balanced with your upload. This is not a problem if you are in a swarm of small, but usually will menajadi problem when diapliaksikan to a large swarm. For safety, try to make the process of sharing with how to upload files that you have successfully downloaded as often as possible.
